Overview
When you cancel your Financio Payroll subscription, your account enters a 60-day data retention period. This article explains what happens during and after this period, how to retrieve your payroll data, how to re-subscribe, and how to reach us if you need help.
During the 60-Day Retention Period
After cancellation, your Financio Payroll account access is restricted. Your payroll data remains accessible for 60 days from the subscription end date.
During this period, we strongly recommend that you export any data you wish to keep before the retention window closes.
What Happens After 60 Days?
Once the 60-day retention period has passed, the following data will be permanently and automatically deleted:
- Employee profile records
- Payroll and payslip history
- EPF, SOCSO/PERKESO, EIS and PCB/MTD statutory contribution records (For Malaysia)
- CPF, AIS, OED statutory submission records (For Singapore)
- Leave records and balances
- Expense Claim records
- Company profile and business information
- User account and role assignments
- Subscription Centre records and billing transaction history
Important: This deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please ensure you have exported all necessary data before the 60 days expire. If you require your payroll data for purposes such as audits, agency investigations, or statutory compliance, you are responsible for exporting and securely storing the data prior to deletion.
Scenario 1 — Single Company Profile
If you have only one company profile linked to your account:
- Your payroll data and user account are fully and permanently removed
- If you attempt to log in after deletion, you will be required to sign up again as a new user
Scenario 2 — Multiple Company Profiles (Same Email)
If you have other active company profiles under the same email address:
- Only the cancelled company’s payroll data is permanently removed
- Your other active accounts remain fully accessible and unaffected
- You will receive an in-app notification confirming which account has been removed.
Scenario 3 — Non-Owner Members
If you are a non-owner member of a cancelled company account:
- The cancelled company account is removed after 60 days as per the standard policy
- Your own separate active company accounts are completely unaffected
- You retain full access to your own active accounts without interruption
How to Retrieve Your Data Before Deletion
To export your payroll data before the 60-day window closes:
- Log in to your Financio Payroll account at https://payroll.financio.co/#/login
- Navigate to the relevant module (e.g. Employees, Payroll, Reports, Leave)
- Use the Export function to download your data in Excel, CSV or PDF format
- Repeat for each data set you wish to retain—including pay slips, statutory reports, and employee records
Note: Export your data as early as possible. Do not wait until close to the 60-day deadline. Statutory submission records can still be viewed directly from the respective bodies independently of Financio.
