This article provides step-by-step instructions on using the newly introduced "Notes Setting" in the Form Settings, where users will be able to customize the notes displayed in the relevant form based on the user’s preferences. Users will have the option to either automatically capture the notes according to the default Form Settings or retain the notes from the previous form when using the "Copy To" feature.
This enhancement will be applicable to the forms that have "Copy To" feature and have configuration notes in the Form Settings only. Refer table provided below:

- Access the Notes Setting enhancement in the Form Settings:
- Log in to Financio.
- Go to Control Panel > Company > Form Settings.
- Scroll down to the bottom part in the Form Settings page until you find the "Notes" section.
- Enable notes to be captured from Form Settings when using the "Copy To" feature:
- If you wish the system to automatically capture notes as per the default Form Settings when using the "Copy To" feature:
-
Set the toggle switch to the "Yes" state.
-
This ensures that the default notes set in the Form Settings will be automatically captured.
-
For example, if you have copied the Sales Quote form to the Sales Order form, setting the toggle switch to the "Yes" state will make the Sales Order form use the default notes specified in the Form Settings, rather than the notes from the Sales Quote.
-
- If you wish the system to automatically capture notes as per the default Form Settings when using the "Copy To" feature:
- Enable notes to be captured from previous form when using the "Copy To" feature:
-
If you wish the system to follow the notes from the previous form when using the "Copy To" feature:
-
Set the toggle switch to the "No" state.
-
If the toggle switch is at default "No" state, no action is needed.
-
If the toggle switch is at "Yes" state, set it to the "No" state.
-
This enables the system to capture the notes from the source form during the "Copy To" process.
-
For example, if you have copied the Sales Quote form to the Sales Invoice form, setting the toggle switch to the "No" state will populate the Sales Invoice form's notes with the same content as the Sales Quote, instead of using the default notes specified in the Form Settings.
-
-
- The notes settings will be applied to the forms accordingly based on the setting that you have configured.
